Welcome to Online Self Employed!

First of all, let’s talk about what led me to the degradation of working the regular 9 to 5 job:

  • When my family and friends were having fun, I couldn’t go 99% of the time because I had to be at work. — Time Restriction
  • No matter how much effort I put into my job, I couldn’t work 24 hours a day 7 days a week to maximize my earning potential… it’s just not physically possible. — Money Restriction
  • When I go on vacations, I don’t get paid because my job requires me to be physically present. — Location Restriction

Due to these restrictions, I decided to take matters into my own hand. It was either give in and work like everybody else or try something new that can potentially change my life. — That desire led me here; working at home.

It’s a pleasure to have you here today! I’m an average American who worked a regular 9 to 5 job. Despite having financial stability, I wanted more for myself and my family.

Like most people who worked a regular 9 to 5 job, I was restricted to Time, Money, and Location freedom. This made it very difficult to do what I wanted to do. The rebel inside of me grew as my motivation to work a regular job slowly degraded. I knew it’s time for a change…

Who Doesn’t Want To Work At Home?

I remember talking to some friends in the past about working at home, but nobody knew where and how to start. That’s why I decided to share my experience through blogging and promoting products and services that I personally use. — Hopefully, through my failure, you will find success.

Hopefully, through my website, you will find information that will help you with creating a sustainable and profitable online business to replace your current full-time job.

Wishing You All The Best,

  1. Hi Eric!

I am sorry to hear about all the struggling you have faced in your childhood. But I am also happy that you can write about it so openly, it seems like you have got over it or rather make it your motivation to thrive in life. Well done, that’s the right thing to do!
Our generation is lucky to have so many opportunities because of the internet, even though there are many pitfalls too, so better keep eyes open.
Luckily with Wealthy Affiliate, you can begin for free and see for yourself all the things they have to offer, so there is no risk involved.

I wish you all the best!
    Maria

    • Hi Maria,

Thank you for your time. Yes, you are absolutely right about moving on and using it as motivation. You see, life is not perfect and you will always feel up and down. It really depends on you perceive the situation. If you are negative about it, you will be negative. If you are positive about it, you will be positive.

So I learned to look at everything in life with a positive. Even if the situation is a negative, you can always take it as a lesson learn and better yourself. A negative situation plus a positive outlook will get you a neutral result (:

In terms of the Internet, you are absolutely right about opportunities, but because there are so many potential ways to get scammed. Most people don’t bother and just stick with regular internet browsing like social media and YouTube. Hopefully we can educate those new to online marketing, so they don’t fall victim to scams. Thanks again for reading!

      Kind Regards,

      Eric

  2. Hi, Eric! I have to give you a ton of credit for being so insightful as you explained what has taken place in your life. Being Chinese-American, and with so much bigotry taking place in the U.S. because of ignorant attitude of so many people towards people of different ethnic backgrounds different than their own, it would almost lead to the ideal of having one strike against you.

The ironic thing about this, if one thought about it would be the U.S. had at its very beginnings people immigrating over from Europe. Truly it is the Native-American Indians who are the original ethnic group that first existed in this country; and we all know what happened to that group of people – essentially kicked off of their own land.

You also had to deal with a father who deserted his family, issues with aunts and uncles who seemed to look down on your mother trying to raise kids, (you and your younger brother on her own).

Finally, there was the teacher – a person who should have nurtured you while you were in school, but instead in a most cruel manner stated that you would amount to nothing during your life. That teacher at the very least back then deserved to have been immediately fired for his insensitive remarks that he made towards you. The fact that he embarrassed you in front of your class made his remarks that much more inappropriate.

Instead, Eric it seems as if you’ve decided that nothing will prevent you from achieving what you want out of life. You’re not satisfied simply being a car salesman.

The opportunity that you mentioned and have right in front of you, Wealthy Affiliate, indeed has provided the type of training that has allowed literally tens of thousands of people to achieve financial success online through running an online business since the company’s inception.

Keep on moving forward and upwards, Eric. Hopefully, one day you can go back to that cruel teacher from your h.s. and rub his nose in it – proving to him how incredibly successful, including financially that you have been able to achieve in your life.

    Jeff

    • Hello Jeff,

I appreciate the amount of time and thought it took to type your comment. I try my best to not let negativity get to me. Instead, I’m very grateful for the events because without it, I wouldn’t be who I am today.

I’ve read articles about people who are in much worst situations than I am, so who am I to complain? I truly believe everyone have the power to control their life. If you let negativity bring you down, you will be negative. if you turn that around and see the positives in the negatives, you will be a much happier person.

I don’t need to brag to anyone or return to that teacher to prove her wrong. I am content as long as I am successful through hard work and dedication.

Thank you very much for the warm comment! I wish you the best of luck in your current and future endeavors.

      Kind Regards,

      Eric

  3. Hi, Eric! I have to give you a ton of credit for being so insightful, making it quite clear to your readers, as to exactly what has taken place in your life. Being Chinese-American, and with so much bigotry taking place in the U.S. because of ignorant attitude of so many people towards people of different ethnic backgrounds different than their own, it would almost lead to the ideal of having one strike against you from the very beginning. Being African-American myself, I’ve known what it is like to be a minority living in America for 60 years – my age at present.

The ironic thing about this, if one think about it, the U.S. as a country had its very creation people immigrating over from Europe. For people who had their ancestors migrate over from Europe back in the 17th and 18th centuries, they have absolutely no right to tell Asian-American, Mid-Eastern Americans, Hispanics, Latinos, and African-Americans, (many of them being forced to come to the U.S. against their will) that they do not belong.

You see, truly it is the Native-American Indians who are the original ethnic group that first existed in this country; and we all know what happened to that group of people – essentially kicked off of their own land.

Eric, you also had to deal with a father who deserted his family, issues with aunts and uncles who seemed to look down on your mother trying to raise kids, (you and your younger brother on her own).

Finally, there was the teacher – a person who should have nurtured you while you were in school, but instead in a most cruel manner stated that you would amount to nothing during your life to your face.

You’re not satisfied simply being a car salesman, although the money would be adequate.

  4. Hi Eric!

I actually took a class to become a car salesperson. No one would hire me due to the fact that I had no experience. I always thought that was a lousy excuse.

I like what you wrote about Wealthy Affiliate! I love being a part of them also. I’ve gone back into the training to “catch up”, as I lost some time with personal issues at home.

    Keep doing what you’re doing!

    Thanks,
    Sylvia

P.S. We have something in common – cars and dysfunctional family. I’ve always been the outcast.. so I understand.

    • Hello Sylvia,

Wow, that’s impressive! I walked into a dealership with ZERO experience and knowledge and asked for my job haha! I had no idea there were classes to be a car salesman. It’s definitely a job where you learn while you work.

I’m glad you’re able to make time to catch up with some of the training, it is definitely going to benefit you in the long run. However, if you need to take more time due to personal issues. I would recommend you do that first!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave 2 comments! If you need anything, I am most definitely here for you!

      Your Friend,
      Eric
